FAQS

Useful Information

Looking for more information about our dessert or a pending order? Check out our list of frequently asked questions below for some quick answers. If you still have a question please contact us at DessertFixation@gmail.com.

When can I expect my order?

Most dessert items can be ready within 3 - 6 business days of purchase depending on delivery type selected.  Decorated Sugar cookies can be ready within 2 weeks of purchase depending on delivery type selected.  Please understand that all desserts are custom made upon order so certain circumstances might cause a slight delay.  Such circumstances include the season you order (major US holidays are very busy), size of the order, order complexity, etc.  If your order is expected to take longer than the timeframes outlined above we will notify you via e-mail.

Do you offer refunds and/or accept cancellations?

We are unable to offer refunds or cancellations once the desserts have been made.  Please contact us at DessertFixation@gmail.com if you need a refund/cancellation and we will let you know if we've already started baking. Please note, we are unable to offer refunds for any desserts broken/damaged during shipping.

How do you package & mail your desserts?

We ship through USPS with Priority shipping and pack each item in packing paper with the utmost care to ensure little to no breakage.  Our sugar cookies are individually sealed in cellophane, wrapped in bubble wrap, and packed with paper confetti in a bakery box. Our pies, cakes and breads are shrink wrapped and shipped with ice packs when necessary.  Our non-sugar cookies are sealed in a cellophane bag.  All packages include an ingredient label per GA law. Please note we are unable to offer refunds for any desserts broken/damaged during shipping and we are unable to ship orders outside the state of Georgia due to state laws and regulations. Pickup and local delivery services are available for our out of state customers.

Do you offer sugar free, nut free, gluten free or vegan options?

At this time, we do not offer sugar free or vegan options but many of our bakery items are available in nut and/or gluten free varieties.  Simply select the Gluten Free and/or Nut Free option when choosing an item. Please note that we bake out of a home kitchen with equipment that also processes milk, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish. Cross-contact with other food items that contain gluten and/or nuts is possible, though we do everything we can to ensure no contamination occurs.  Customers with gluten or nut sensitivities should exercise judgment in consuming our products.

Is your bakery licensed and clean?

Absolutely! Dessert Fixation has a Cottage Food license in the state of Georgia.  We have also attended an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited food safety training program and had our kitchen inspected by the GA Department of Agriculture. We take all precautions to limit food contamination by sanitizing all baking surfaces/equipment, and by following proper hand washing techniques.

Are all your desserts created equal?

While each dessert is given the same amount of love in the baking process, they may not be uniform to one another.  That is because they are homemade and handmade, not processed by a machine.  For example, two of the same pattern decorated sugar cookies might have slightly different color icing, or different amounts of sprinkles.  Also keep in mind that things rise (and fall) in the oven on their own free will so not every cookie, cake, pie, or bread will be the exact same size.

What are your ingredients and nutritional information?

You can find a full list of all ingredients used for each recipe on our Ingredients page.  Like with all professional product labels, the ingredients are listed in order of predominance, with the ingredients used in the greatest amount first, followed in descending order by those in smaller amounts. If you have questions about an ingredient please contact us at DessertFixation@gmail.com. At this time, we do not have nutritional information.
